Hawk Island Snow Park Inaugural Open House and Rail Jam

Meet the Hawk Island Action Sports Operations Committee,(HIASOC), the minds behind Urban Snow Parks who helped bring this awesome project to Lansing, and the County officials who listened when we told them how to make this project come together. Special thanks to The Ingham County Commission, The Ingham County Parks Commission, and The Friends of Ingham County Parks. Weather permitting, bring your gear to see a demo of a variety of obstacles and rails, hang out and watch snowboarding movies, and enjoy the stylings of DJ Juan Trevino, Dr. Sketch, and INoV8. Personal walking tours will be given, bring your boots and be prepared to take a hike to the summit for one of the best views in Ingham County!

Boyne Country Sports Rail Jam
Saturday November 5th @ the Novi Boyne Country Sports.
Advance registration is available at the shop.

Same-day registration runs 11-12.
Event begins at 12:00 NOON.
Come out and be part of the pre-season’s best rail jam. This is a great spectator venue with natural amphitheater seating. There will be music playing, hot dogs grilling and lots of general bro-ing down with everybody else who has a stoke to get on the snow- including a bunch of industry reps who will be more than willing to answer all your burning gear questions.

Saturday:
Registration 8:30am – 9:30am Inside behind the ticket window (Both Days)
10:00am – Boardercross / Skiercross Course inspection- Racing begins immediately after.
12:00 – Slopestyle (Awards 30 minutes after the last slopestyle competitor)
2:00pm – “AGA” Big Air with $1000 prize!
Sunday:
10:00am – Boardercross / Skiercross Course inspection- Racing begins immediately after.
1:00pm – Slalom and GS runs

Friday, Jan 28 @ Alpine Valley, White Lake, MI EPIX snowboards present “the Impossible Rail Jam” 6pm Registration $20 entry fee – “Sorry” Snowboard Only 14 and under – 15 and over
Saturday, Jan 29 @ Alpine Valley, Huck Finn’s BIG AIR at NOON (Registration 10:00am-11:30am at the Finish Shack) $10 to enter this fund raiser! – Awards for this event will be immediately after the last competitor.
SnowOhio: Halfpipe #1, Halfpipe #2 (Registration 10:30am – 11:30 am; Events start 2:00pm) Awards follow ~ 4pm – (Use these for your National Ranking Points – Only 1 Halfpipe is useable)
Sunday, Jan 30 @ Alpine Valley – SnowOhio Boarder & Skier Cross #1 – (Registration from 8:00am-9:30am; events start @ 10:00am – (use these for your National Ranking Points )

Registration 8:30am – 9:30am at “the Top of the Mountain” inside Lodge
- Sunday 10am Boardercross/Skiercross – 1:00pm Slopestyle – RJ after Slope.
- Rail Jam Qualifier for the 2011 ASPEN X-Games Vender Village USASA Rail Jam: Top Male and Female Snowboarder and Skier will be given an invite to participate during the Aspen X-Games rail jam.
Whatever remaining spots are available after all our Regional Qualifiers are invited will be available to anyone through online registration.
Qualifiers that are invited will have until the 25th to register online and hold their invited spot. If they do not register by then their spot will be opened up to the wait list. It looks like we have some prize money for the Aspen event.
Must be a USASA member – List Huck Finn as home series
If you have never competed with USASA – We have a FREE trial membership – Just pay the Registration Fee $20
Awards 30 minutes after the Slopestyle event (Rail Jam awarded ON THE SPOT!)
Must be a USASA member – If you have never competed within the USASA, we have a One-Time free membership for the USASA. Must have a Certified Helmet at all times on the course.

Here is a handy place to get our membership form filled out before you arrive, There is also a Quick-Registration form that you can use to have us update any of your information, simply fill it out and then bring it with you to the event.
Interested in a Permanent Bib? If you use the “Pay at once” you can waive the Bib Deposit of $40 ~ Everyone else? $40.00 Deposit and you will be assigned a permanent bib for the season, Hand it back in at the end?.. Get your Deposit back. . Should you loose your bib, We will keep the deposit ~ “just sayin”
